To me the step from drawing to design is a small one. For an exhibition project with Javier Mariscal in the Lumen Travo gallery in Amsterdam I designed my Peentjestafel (carrot table). I have designed several kitchens. For my friend, Too Grootes, I conceived a bay window as an addition to the kitchen with an extra countertop. The money this concept saved made it possible for her to buy a magnificent stove. I designed a desk for my wife Joan with a concealed space for chargers, and furniture for the van Reekum Museum in Apeldoorn and the Rotterdam Eye Hospital. I also designed furniture for the Hergé Museum and for Print Pakt, the Dutch printers presentation during Dutch Design Week.
